It starts as a pounding in the head. Some see static, feel nauseous, or develop a sense of spinning. The culprit of these unwanted pains and symptoms is a migraine, and for those who experience its life halting effects, finding immediate relief is often insurmountable. When this type of extreme head pain strikes, sufferers know that the rest of the day must be spent in bed without any light or sound. If you’re one of the 25-35 million Americans affected by migraines each year, then you know the struggle of finding a cure. Though over the counter and prescription medications can offer temporary relief, a more permanent solution exists at the office of your plastic surgeon.
The revelation of BOTOX® for migraines came about 12 years ago, when researchers discovered that the number one reason a migraine occurs is from the contraction of the muscle within the temporal area. Patients who received BOTOX® Cosmetic however, found relief from their migraine symptoms following injection. Doctors soon realized that this cosmetic injectable not only stops wrinkles, it stops the throbbing head pain so many people experience each year.
When it comes to treating migraines with BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey, your plastic surgeon will properly diagnose your migraine by first asking you where your trigger point is. There are four areas of the head in which these trigger points may reside, including the frontal area, the lateral part of the eye, the back of the head, and the nose. Once the correct area is identified, your plastic surgeon will inject BOTOX® Cosmetic to improve any nerve blocks and to relieve pressure of any pinched nerves.
After treatment, about 80-90 percent of patients find their migraines completely cured. Furthermore, BOTOX® Cosmetic is FDA approved for migraines. Though BOTOX® Cosmetic last about 6 months for cosmetic procedures, migraine suffers must return every 2-3 months for injections and further prevention of their migraine.
In addition to BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey, patients may also benefit from a more permanent solution to cure migraines. In fact, if patients respond well to the treatment of BOTOX®, they will most likely respond to surgical procedures such as septoplasty or blepharoplasty in NJ. These options remove overlying muscles that put unwanted pressure on the nerves known to lead to extreme head pain.
Dr. Asaadi and his staff will gladly discuss any questions or concerns you may have about BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey. Contact our New York office at 973.731.7000 or request an appointment online for a personal consultation.

Breast Cancer Awareness month is here, so let’s paint the town pink as a reminder to get your annual breast check-up! Breast Cancer Awareness month is a time for men & women to rejoice over their strength, as loved ones support their ongoing battle against breast cancer but also serves as a reminder for patients that early detection saves lives. Dr. Asaadi and our staff support patients in their battle during this difficult time and are here to assist with recovery after breast cancer surgery.
Offering women breast reconstruction surgery in New York City, we can help you restore your sense of curves and self-esteem by using a variety of reconstructive options following mastectomy. Many women do not realize the options available to them after their mastectomy, but at the office of Dr. Asaadi, we can help you understand the different treatments that will fit your body, health, and lifestyle. These include implants, autologous flaps, and in some cases, natural breast augmentation, each of which may be used together or separately, depending on your needs.
If you choose implant based breast reconstruction in New York, Dr. Asaadi will help you choose between silicone or saline implants. Understanding the difference between the two will help you determine which restoration will be best for you. Silicone implants contain a silicone gel, whereas saline implants are salt-water based. While both implants are FDA approved, research suggests that silicone implants are preferred over saline when it comes to breast surgery in New York City. Furthermore, when receiving implants, some women may require skin expansion. During skin expansion, Dr. Asaadi will insert a balloon expander beneath the skin and chest muscle. Through a tiny valve, he will inject a salt-water solution over the course of several weeks to months. This allows the skin to stretch, creating room for more permanent implants. Once the skin is stretched enough, the expansion will be removed and your silicone or saline implants will be put into place.
Additionally, during implant reconstruction, some patients may require flap reconstruction in order to support implants. This procedure allows for breast reconstruction using your own tissue. There are two types of flaps; pedical and free. Pedical flaps take skin, tissue, or muscles from other parts of your body with the vessels attached. Free flaps however, involve detaching these vessels and then reconnecting them at the insertion area with microsurgery. Once the flap is completed, implants are inserted.
For a perfected shape of the breasts after breast reconstruction, some patients choose to opt for a natural fat transfer. This method removes fat from one area of the body, such as the hips, thighs, or abdomen. The fat is then transferred into the breast, improving contours naturally. Research has shown that this method of fat grafting can help regenerate the stem cells found in the fat cells of the breast that may have been damaged by radiation treatments.
No matter what breast reconstruction option you choose, you’ll find your surgery as a rewarding experience towards your feminine figure. Let Dr. Asaadi and his staff help you after your battle with breast cancer. Families place away picnic blankets, grills hide beneath winter covers, and summer tank tops are pushed to the back of the closet, all signifying summer’s close. The days may be ending earlier, but wrinkles and fine lines from summer sun tans may just be appearing.
Years of enjoying the summer sun damages skin, leaving fine lines and uneven skin pigmentation. In fact, the sun causes over 80% of lines and skin discoloration. Now, you can minimize the appearance of damaged areas with laser skin resurfacing in NJ. Using a laser, Dr. Asaadi removes damaged areas, layer by layer, smoothing wrinkles and balancing skin tone. Laser skin resurfacing can be performed on the whole face, or in specific areas. Learn more about this innovative technology:
Laser Skin Resurfacing NJ
Laser skin resurfacing in NJ is especially useful around the mouth and the eyes where lines are easily seen. It is often done in conjunction with another cosmetic operation, such as facelift in NJ, or blepharoplasty in New Jersey, adding a complete, youthful finish.
Patients also have the option to fight aging utilizing the Fraxel Co2 Pixel Perfect™ system. This technique uses a CO2 fractional laser, penetrating skin through microscopic treatment areas, allowing for natural healing, with less damage to the surrounding tissue. This method also promotes growth of collagen, so skin will tighten and firm after as little as one treatment, dramatically improving skin tone and texture. Laser skin resurfacing in NJ with the Fraxel CO2 Pixel Perfect system is less invasive than traditional facial rejuvenation methods, requiring less down time and discomfort.
Absorbing the suns UV rays is inevitable, but now aging doesn’t have to be! Give your skin the look and feel of rejuvenation without going under the knife. Learn more about laser resurfacing in NJ by Dr. Asaadi. Contact our office at 973.731.7000, or request your appointment online.
