What are the risks of plastic surgery? Is it right for me? Are there less-invasive options? These are all commonly asked questions by patients looking to enhance their look before undergoing plastic surgery. While some patients believe plastic surgery is too invasive and fear “going under the knife”, there are many options that can cosmetically enhance your appearance with less downtime and less risks, yet still achieve beautiful results.
The goal of plastic surgery is always to look and feel natural. Today, plastic surgeons have taken advantage of the advancements of dermal fillers to create non-surgical results that can transform your look as stunningly as traditional plastic surgery. One method that has helped surgeons achieve these results is through fat grafting.
Fat grafting is a less invasive option to traditional surgery but more permanent than cosmetic injectables. Depending on your targeted treatment area, you may smooth wrinkles, eliminate under eye bags, and add volume to breasts or buttocks.
How does fat grafting work?

What can fat grafting be used for?

At Asaadi Plastic Surgery, we’re thankful to have the opportunity to make our patients look and feel better about themselves. Reconstructive surgery offers that opportunity to many individuals, helping achieve a rediscovered look of beauty and confidence.
One of our patients came to Dr. Asaadi after suffering from nasal cancer and malar bags. After an initial evaluation, Dr. Asaadi was able to remove the cancer and reconstruct her nose using a forehead flap. The procedure utilized a section of tissue between her eyebrows and hairline to reconstruct her nose. In combination with the forehead flap, the patient received a short-scar foreheadplasty to remove sagging and wrinkles from her forehead region. Dr. Asaadi also addressed the malar bags underneath her eyes by performing a procedure called blepharoplasty, helping to give the patient an alert, rejuvenated appearance. Additionally, the patient’s corrugator muscle, a muscle between the brows responsible for permanent frowning, was removed to give the face a younger appearance, in addition to her reconstructed, cancer-free nose. Your brows express a variety of emotions, including anger, depression, surprise, and tiredness. If these expression lines have become a permanent fixture on your face, you may be experiencing premature signs of aging caused by eyebrow descent. These lines may appear between the eyebrows, horizontally on the forehead, or at the bridge of the nose. Oftentimes, these lines are mistaken for excess skin. To treat plunging eyebrows, our plastic surgeon recommends a foreheadplasty.
A foreheadplasty, commonly referred to as a brow lift, elevates sagging brows into an ideal position, regaining your youthful appearance and removing predated expressions. Advances in the medical field have allowed plastic surgeons to perform this procedure endoscopically.
This technique, also known as a short-scar foreheadplasty, allows for an invisible scar recovery. The procedure uses small incisions within the hair to reposition the brow. The new positioning is held in place with stitches, and after a few weeks the skin will naturally reattach itself to a lifted position. When Dr. Asaadi performs the procedure, he often cuts the corrugator muscle (located at the medial end of the eyebrow) to relax the apperance of frowning. An endoscopic procedure is ideal for correcting a very low brow and can also improve deep lines between the eyebrows and above the nose.
