Surgical vs Nonsurgical Plastic Surgery Procedures in NJ

Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi offers a variety of surgical procedures and nonsurgical treatments to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, facial folds, sun spots, sagging, and other natural signs of aging. Sometimes choosing between these options and deciding which treatment is right for you can be difficult, but Dr. Asaadi can discuss the options that best fit your individual needs and expectations. Plastic Surgery is very individual. For example, BOTOX® Cosmetic in NJ or Ultherapy NJ can help some patients while other patients may best be served by considering facelift in New Jersey. Patients may want to consider several aspects of both nonsurgical treatments and surgical procedures while deciding on a cosmetic solution, including longevity of results, recovery time, and personal expectations.

Surgical procedures and nonsurgical treatments both have their pros and cons, depending on the results you are expecting. Nonsurgical treatments such as BOTOX® Cosmetic in NJ, Ultherapy New Jersey, and cosmetic fillers in New Jersey reduce the appearance of wrinkles in a 15 to 20 minute outpatient treatment. Patients may return to their daily activities almost immediately afterward. These treatments, although less invasive than cosmetic surgery, are not permanent. Patients who receive cosmetic fillers in NJ and BOTOX® Cosmetic in New Jersey must return to Asaadi Plastic Surgery approximately every 4 to 6 months to maintain their results, otherwise, their results will fade back to their original appearance.

A facelift in NJ, on the other hand, is a more permanent cosmetic solution than nonsurgical treatments and provides more drastic improvement. The underlying muscles and tissues will be tightened to improve sagging, and wrinkles will be smoothed. Once a patient receives a facelift in New Jersey, regular treatments to maintain results are unnecessary. Surgical procedures, although more permanent and able to provide more drastic results than nonsurgical treatments, do unfortunately require more recovery after surgery. The majority of bruising and swelling should dissipate within two to three weeks. Patient should avoid strenuous activity for the first two weeks, and most patients return to work within about 10 days. Also, slightly more risk is involved with surgical procedures compared to nonsurgical procedures. Facelift in NJ involves IV sedation and stitches while nonsurgical procedures may only need local anesthetic or no anesthetic at all.

Plastic Surgery in New Jersey is so individual because everyone’s needs, expectations, facial features, and body types are different. Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi and his staff encourage patients to discuss any questions or concerns you may have about cosmetic surgery in New Jersey or which treatment will produce the best results for you.
