When considering breast reduction surgery, most women feel a number of emotions, ranging from anxiety to hopefulness. Undergoing a breast reduction can have a positive effect on your self-esteem and improve your overall quality of life. If you are experiencing pain or dissatisfaction as a result of your overly large breast size, breast reduction surgery may be for you.
Large breasts can cause chronic back, neck, and shoulder pain. Patients may also experience chronic rashes underneath the breasts. Additionally, large breasts can make it difficult to perform certain activities, such as exercise and daily chores. Some women find it difficult to fit into bras and clothing. These challenges have the potential to reduce confidence and lead to unhappiness and a negative self-image. Breast reduction surgery may be performed to help women reduce breast size and aid in the physical ailments that come along with overly large breasts.
Benefits of Undergoing Breast Reduction Surgery:
-
Alleviate pain in the back, neck, and shoulders
-
Eliminate discomfort when performing strenuous activities
-
Eliminate rashes and skin irritation underneath breasts
-
Fit in clothing more comfortably
-
Reshape, lift, and firm-up breasts
Breast reduction surgery can improve the shape, position, and size of the breasts to produce youthful, symmetrical results. During surgery, the nipple and areola are repositioned higher up the breast to maintain a balanced, natural-looking appearance, while excess fat, tissue, and skin are carefully removed to create symmetrical breasts and reduce scarring. Dr. Asaadi is meticulous to ensure the distance between the areola and inframammary line compliment the patient’s height, weight, and breast size. Additionally, utilizing the pedicle technique to reposition the nipple and areola ensures that breast sensitivity and breastfeeding functionality are conserved.

With age comes a loss of elasticity and firmness of the skin. This manifests itself in our face with wrinkles, creases, and lines, especially in emotive areas, including around our mouth and eyes.
If you would like to reduce signs of aging, cosmetic fillers may help you achieve your goals.
Cosmetic fillers are designed to give the face a naturally fuller and firmer look by injecting hyaluronic acid into areas of depleted volume. Hyaluronic acid, which is produced naturally by the body, retains moisture, keeping the face plump and youthful.
As we age, our body produces less hyaluronic acid, resulting in looser and more wrinkled skin. Cosmetic fillers can restore some of this moisture, filling in wrinkles and creases for younger-looking skin.
Types of Cosmetic Fillers
Juvederm®: Juvederm® dermal filler is comprised of hyaluronic acid and can treat nasolabial folds, wrinkles, and fine lines.
Perlane®: Perlane® is a cosmetic filler that works deep into the skin to treat moderate-to-severe facial lines and folds.
Belotero®: Belotero® is a lighter dermal filler designed to create subtle, natural-looking results in the treatment of facial wrinkles, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and hollowed under-eyes.
Voluma®: Voluma® can treat hollowed cheeks by restoring volume, contours, and shape in the cheeks.
Volbella®: Volbella® cosmetic filler can volumize the lips and create a youthful appearance by smoothing out marionette lines, nasolabial folds, and lines around the mouth.
With so many cosmetic filler options, it is necessary you choose a plastic surgeon who understands your individual anatomy and goals. Dr. Asaadi will help you decide which treatment will work best for you, and assist you in achieving natural-looking results.
Cosmetic fillers can provide a quick facial rejuvenation without the downtime of surgery, or can be combined with surgical treatments for enhanced results. Changes in appearance can typically be seen in the weeks following treatment, with continuing results.

If you are dissatisfied with your results following primary rhinoplasty, or if nasal deformities are preventing you from breathing efficiently, you may opt for revision rhinoplasty to correct your results. Revision rhinoplasty can reshape and correct asymmetries of the nose, enhance nose shape, and alleviate breathing problems caused by scar tissue or a deviated septum.
How Is Revision Rhinoplasty Performed?
Revision, or secondary rhinoplasty presents a greater set of challenges than primary rhinoplasty, as there is often scar tissue and insufficient cartilage within the nose. Internal scarring can narrow the airway, which will be sculpted and widened during your surgery.
Damaged cartilage can also create a lack of structural support in the nose, and in order to restore structure, cartilage may be removed from the ear, or less commonly, the rib.
Surgical revision rhinoplasty may be performed using the closed or open rhinoplasty techniques, depending on the correction required. In the closed technique, all incisions are made inside the nostrils, while with the open technique, an additional incision is made across the columella (the small tissue that links the nasal tip to the nasal base). These methods minimize the development of further scar tissue.
Non-surgical revision rhinoplasty utilizes non-invasive cosmetic fillers to enhance nose size and shape for those who are not experiencing challenges with breathing, and want to supplement the results of their primary rhinoplasty.
Revision Rhinoplasty Recovery
Immediately following revision rhinoplasty, strenuous activities such as bending over, exercise, and housework should be avoided.
Those who undergo non-surgical revision rhinoplasty can return to their daily activities immediately following the procedure.

As the New Year approaches, many are setting the goal to lose weight and improve their health. While losing weight can be a great accomplishment when done properly, many don’t anticipate the new challenges that may come after major weight loss, such as excess and stretched skin. If you find excess and loose skin overshadows your weight loss results, body lift surgery may be the perfect option for you to achieve the goals you set out for.
What Is A Body Lift?
Body lift surgery, is designed to firm and tighten body contours by removing excess skin and reshaping underlying tissue supporting skin and fat. A body lift may incorporate a variety of procedures to target different areas, including the abdomen, buttocks, arms, and thighs.
Arm Lift Following Major Weight Loss
Arm lift surgery after weight loss is designed to treat loose skin and excess fat in the upper arms to create a slimmer shape. Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi utilizes the specialized avulsion arm therapy which combines liposuction and arm lift surgery.
This ensures that pockets of excess fat are gently extracted, there is no trauma to blood vessels, little to no scarring is produced, and arm contours appear more natural.
Tummy Tuck To Tighten The Abdomen After Weight Loss
Tummy tuck surgery, or abdominoplasty, is one of the most sought out procedures following major weight loss. Tummy tuck can treat lax skin and excess abdominal bulging by tightening abdominal muscles and removing excess skin.
During a tummy tuck, Dr. Asaadi is also able to focus on specific trouble areas in the abdominal region by using his CORE Abdominoplasty℠ method. With this method, the back of the operating table is raised to a 45° angle so abdominal bulging can be more easily identified and treated.
Thigh Lift Post Weight Loss
Thigh lift surgery can reshape the thighs by removing excess skin and fat, creating a smoother and more youthful appearance in the thighs and buttocks. During a thigh lift, excess skin is removed from the inner, mid, and outer thighs, as well as the buttocks to provide an even improvement of contours across the lower body.
Thigh lift surgery can also be combined with other body contouring techniques, such as liposuction, to achieve natural-looking contours.
Dr. Asaadi and our staff welcome any questions you may have about arm lift, tummy tuck, thigh lift, and body lift surgeries, as well as our other body contouring procedures. The loss of elasticity in the skin and youthful contours in the face are natural signs of aging, but certain factors such as sun damage and stress, can make these symptoms worse or make us feel as if our appearance doesn’t match how we feel internally.
Facelift surgery and neck lift surgery can improve visible signs of aging, creating a more youthful profile and taking years off your appearance.
What Is A Facelift?
A facelift, also known as a rhytidectomy, is a cosmetic surgery procedure designed to give a more youthful facial appearance.
During a facelift, incisions begin in the hairline at the temples and extend down around the ear, ending at the lower hairline. The facial skin is repositioned, and excess fat may be removed or redistributed to sculpt and improve facial contours.
Dr. Asaadi will also ask his facelift patients to bring a photo of themselves when they were younger, so he can work with you achieve your desired results.
What Is A Neck Lift?
Facelift surgery is often paired with a neck lift, designed to address sagging jowls, loose neck skin, and pockets of fat around the neck and underneath the chin.
With a neck lift, an incision is made below the chin, and like facelift surgery, excess skin and fat is removed or repositioned. The platysma bands in the neck may also be corrected to create a smoother-looking neck.
Who Should Get Facelift/Neck Lift Surgery?
Ideal candidates for facelift and neck lift surgery are those looking to improve sagging around the face and neck. A facelift and neck lift can reduce facial wrinkles, skin laxity, and fine lines, creating long-lasting improvements to the facial profile. Although these procedures are not designed to stop the natural aging process, the results from facelift and neck lift surgery can be long-lasting when performed by a skilled plastic surgeon.
Dr. Asaadi and our staff welcome any questions you may have about facelift surgery or neck lift surgery, as well as our other facial rejuvenation procedures. Contact our New Jersey office at 913.731.7000, our New York office at 212.938.0158, or you may request an appointment online today!
