Breast Augmentation

Breast enhancement procedures are some of the most sought-after in plastic surgery. Most breast enhancement procedures are performed to enhance the shape, size, and symmetry of the breasts resulting in a fuller, more shapely appearance. Patients who are interested in breast enhancement may have experienced changes in the shape, size, or position of their breasts. These changes can be caused by various factors such as genetics, weight fluctuation, age, pregnancy, and more.
Breast enhancement procedures include breast augmentation, breast lift, breast implant removal, breast implant replacement, and more.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation uses breast implants to create fuller breasts, correct asymmetries, and improve the size, shape, and contours of the breasts. Natural-looking volume is added by utilizing breast implants that are proportional to your body to accentuate and enhance your natural curves. Dr. Asaadi only uses saline breasts implants resulting in natural-looking breast enhancement results.
Breast Lift
Breast lift surgery can restore a more youthful-looking shape to the appearance of the breasts by removing excess skin and tissue and raising the breasts to a more lifted position. With age or following lifestyle choices such as pregnancy or breastfeeding, breasts can begin to sag and droop, causing many women to feel self-conscious. With breast lift surgery, patients can enhance the look of their breasts and achieve their desired breast enhancement goals.
Breast Implant Removal & Replacement
Breast implant removal is performed for cosmetic or medical concerns. Breast implant removal is an option for patients who may no longer be happy with the appearance of their breast implants, patients who no longer desire having breast implants at all, or due to an infection or capsular contracture. Damaged breast implants must be removed for the health of the patient. Breast implant removal can be combined with breast implant replacement, following the removal of the previous implants.
Breast implant replacement exchanges previous breast implants for new breast implants following a breast implant removal surgery. Patients interested in undergoing breast implant replacement surgery may be interested in increasing or decreasing the size of their implants to achieve a more natural-looking breast enhancement result. Another reason for undergoing breast implant replacement may be due to infection, capsular contracture, or correcting the work of a previous surgeon.

As moms, we often prioritize the needs of our families over our own, but it's essential to take time for self-care and embrace the opportunity to enhance our confidence and well-being. Mother’s Day is a reminder of the incredible journey of motherhood but also a time to reflect on and treat ourselves. If you feel that the physical changes brought about by pregnancy and motherhood are impacting your self-confidence, and you wish to reclaim your pre-pregnancy curves, it might be the right time to consider a Mommy Makeover.
Following pregnancy, there are many physical changes to the body that can take a toll on a new mother’s body. This includes sagging breasts, unwanted excess skin and fat, cellulite, and stretch marks. It can be difficult to restore your figure prior to giving birth, even when executing healthy habits such as exercising and eating right.
At Asaadi Plastic Surgery, we offer the mommy makeover procedure. A mommy makeover is a combination of body contouring procedures that can target the upper, mid, or lower body. This procedure is highly customized to suit the needs, goals, and desires of each individual patient.
Mommy makeover can include combination procedures and treatments such as tummy tuck, liposuction, breast enhancement, vaginal rejuvenation, skin care, and more. In many cases, the selected procedures can be performed during one session, reducing the necessary downtime required following surgery.
What Are My Mommy Makeover Options?
Tummy Tuck
Tummy Tuck surgery, also known as abdominoplasty, can tighten weakened abdominal muscles and lax skin to improve the appearance of the midsection. Loose skin, excess fat, and stretch marks can be addressed with tummy tuck surgery, providing patients with a natural-looking contoured waistline.
Breast Augmentation
Breast augmentation can improve the appearance of the breasts by altering the size and shape to restore the natural contours of the breasts. Breast augmentation utilizes breast implants to recreate fuller, more shapely breasts following a loss of volume from pregnancy or breast feeding.
Breast Lift
Breast lift surgery can restore the appearance of sagging, drooping breasts by repositioning the breasts to a more youthful and lifted position. Breast lift can enhance the size and shape or the breasts by removing excess skin and tissue for shapelier breasts.
Liposuction
Liposuction can precisely remove stubborn fat to provide a more contoured appearance to different areas of the body. Liposuction can target the abdomen, thighs, waist, legs, hips, and more to achieve a toned, sculpted physique. During mommy makeover, liposuction is often combined with tummy tuck to tighten and tone the midsection.

A mommy makeover combines a variety of surgical procedures to address some of the common physical changes following pregnancy. Often after giving birth, the breasts begin to sag or deflate, and the abdomen holds excess skin, stretch marks, and bulging. This procedure is highly customized to suit the needs, goals, and desires of each individual patient.
Mommy makeover combinations may include breast enhancement, liposuction, tummy tuck, and vaginal rejuvenation.
Am I a good candidate for a mommy makeover?
If you have developed physical changes in your body following pregnancy and you are in overall good health, then you may be an ideal candidate for mommy makeover. Other important factors also include if you are finished having children, and if you are currently breastfeeding.
Each mommy makeover is uniquely tailored for each patient's health concerns and goals. These factors are important when determining what areas of the body to target and what combination of procedures to use for your mommy makeover.
Prior to scheduling the procedure, a physical examination will be conducted to discuss goals, concerns, and more to properly decide what combination of procedures to perform.
Mommy makeover targets:
-
Breasts that have deflated due to breast feeding or weight loss
-
Stretch marks
-
Pockets of fat
-
Excess skin
-
Weakened or separated abdominal muscles
How many treatments does mommy makeover include?
One of the benefits of the mommy makeover is that multiple procedures can be combined and performed at once. Additional treatments following the initial mommy makeover is dependent on what procedures were originally performed. Factors such as overall health and patient goals will be taken into account prior to the mommy makeover procedure.
How soon after having children should I consider a mommy makeover?
It is preferred that you have returned to your pre-pregnancy weight, are done having kids, and it is at least three to six months following breastfeeding that you choose to undergo a mommy makeover.
What will my recovery be like?
The recovery process and timeline will vary from patient to patient depending on which procedures were performed. Downtime can range between two to six weeks, and is discussed during the consultation appointment.

Breast implant replacement is performed to remove current breast implants and replace them with new implants. This procedure is available at Asaadi Plastic Surgery to remove, replace, and reposition the breast implants and provide the patient with their desired appearance. A common reason for replacing breast implants is to reposition the implants to better fit your body’s physique. Reasons to consider this procedure, and the right time for breast implant replacement can be based on cosmetic factors and medical concerns.
When to Replace Breast Implants
The time to replace breast implants can vary from patient to patient. Age, health, personal changes or preferences, and the expertise of your surgeon can determine how often breast implants need to be replaced. Choosing a skilled, board-certified plastic surgeon is essential for any surgery. Important details your surgeon should consider when preforming breast implant surgery includes skin laxity, height, and body composition of their patient. If an unskilled surgeon does not take these factors into consideration, the results may look less natural. These factors can greatly impact the results of breast implant procedures.
Cosmetic Reasons to Remove Breast Implants
-
A patient may choose to replace their implants because they are unhappy with the current size or shape and want to either increase or decrease the size of their implants.
-
Some patients may gain or lose weight, changing the proportions of the body which alters the look of the implants. New implants can better fit a patient’s body physique.
-
If a patient is unhappy with the results of their implants from another surgeon. This can occur due to the previous doctor having incorrect knowledge of the patient’s anatomy. Skin laxity, height, and body composition of the patient are important to consider when choosing the size and shape of breast implants.
-
Exchanging silicone implants to saline implants, which are known to be safer and more natural-looking than silicone implants. Dr. Asaadi only uses saline breast implants.
Medical Reasons to Remove Breast Implants
-
If the patient is involved in an accident or experience trauma, the implant may leak or rupture. Removal and replacement would be required in this scenario.
-
The possibility of infection or capsular contracture can also occur with breast implants, although it is rare. Capsular contracture is a medical condition where the tissue surrounding the implant becomes too firm. This requires removal and replacement of the implant.
Dr. Asaadi and our staff are available to discuss any questions or concerns regarding breast implant replacement surgery, or any of our other plastic surgery procedures. Please contact our New Jersey office, our New York office, or request an appointment online today!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Many women who are fighting breast cancer often undergo a mastectomy or double mastectomy in order to treat existing cancer or prevent it from forming in high-risk cases.
During this procedure, all or part of the patient’s breasts may be removed.
While every woman approaches and experiences a mastectomy in their own way, it can sometimes leave a patient feeling mournful, insecure, or anxious.
At Asaadi Plastic Surgery, breast reconstruction surgery is offered to help restore the sense of femininity and sexuality that some women feel they lose after winning their courageous battle with breast cancer.
What is Breast Reconstruction Surgery?
Breast reconstruction surgery, also known as reconstruction mammoplasty, restores natural-looking breasts for women who have lost breast tissue as a result of a mastectomy, lumpectomy, or other medical procedures.
How is Breast Reconstruction Surgery Performed?
During breast reconstruction surgery, a tissue expander is used to create a pocket in which a saline breast implant can be inserted. After the implant is placed, Dr. Asaadi will use discreet sutures to close the incisions. In some cases, this will create a breast mound, so an implant may not be needed.
After the pocket is created, further symmetry and contours can be achieved through fat grafting. During this procedure, fat is harvested from other areas of the body, such as the back or abdomen, and transferred to the breasts.
What are the Benefits of Breast Reconstruction Surgery?
-
Restored size, shape, and appearance of the breasts
-
Natural-looking results
-
Can be performed immediately following mastectomy or lumpectomy
-
Restores a sense of confidence and femininity
What Can I Expect Before My Breast Reconstruction Surgery?
Before undergoing your breast reconstruction surgery, Dr. Asaadi will create a highly-personalized treatment plan to ensure you are receiving individualized care, as well as your desired results. Dr. Asaadi will provide you with pre-surgery instructions that are to be followed to ensure both the procedure and healing process go smoothly.
What Can I Expect After My Breast Reconstruction Surgery?
The healing process following breast reconstruction will look different for every patient. Depending on the extent of your procedure and your body’s rate of healing, recovery time will vary.
After your breast reconstruction surgery, you may experience some side effects including soreness, bruising, swelling, and inflammation. Stitches are usually removed 1-2 weeks post-surgery. Patients should avoid all strenuous activity until given the go-ahead by Dr. Asaadi.
