Microneedling & PRP To Restore A Glowing Complexion!

POSTED ON MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 2017 AT 2:00 PM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

Are you looking to improve your complexion and skin texture? Over time, a variety of factors may affect your skin tone, including sun damage, blemishes, acne scarring, wrinkles, and fine lines. Recent skin care advancements have led to an effective anti-aging solution – microneedling and PRP (platelet rich plasma) treatment. When used together, micro needling and platelet rich plasma therapy can improve skin texture and elasticity for youthful-looking results.

Microneedling Overview

Microneedling, also referred to as collagen induction therapy, creates microscopic holes in the skin using a COSMOPen tool. These tiny punctures stimulate a natural healing response from your body, resulting in the production of new collagen and elastin fibers to reinforce skin structure. Micro needling can be performed on the face, neck, and arms, as well as other areas of your body.

PRP Treatment Overview

PRP treatment, also known as platelet rich plasma therapy, uses the platelet rich plasma found in your blood to aid healing. During your PRP procedure, a blood sample is taken and your platelet rich plasma is isolated and spun in a centrifuge. Your PRP is then injected into the treatment area to aid your body’s natural healing mechanisms.

How Do Micro Needling And PRP Work Together?

Micro needling and PRP can work together to improve skin tone and texture while stimulating the body’s natural healing processes. Microneedling can help the skin absorb platelet rich plasma injections, while PRP therapy can further accentuate your skin’s healing response following micro needling.

What Type Of Results Can I Expect?

Combining micro needling treatment with platelet rich plasma therapy can achieve natural-looking enhancements to your complexion. Microneedling and PRP can treat a variety of different conditions, including sun damaged-skin, wrinkles, acne scars, and blemishes. Microneedling results are usually seen after 1 treatment, but 3-6 sessions are typically recommended for ideal improvements to skin texture.

Microblading To Achieve Youthful, Natural-Looking Eyebrows!

POSTED ON MONDAY, JULY 10, 2017 AT 3:45 PM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

Would you like to improve the appearance of your eyebrows? Many patients are not satisfied with their eyebrows due to a sparse, thinning look. Microblading is an innovative non-surgical treatment to enhance your eyebrows for a more defined appearance. Asaadi Plastic Surgery provides microblading to help patients achieve fuller, beautiful eyebrows. Learn more about microblading below.

What Is Microblading?

Microblading, also known as microstroking or eyebrow embroidery, uses permanent makeup techniques to emulate your natural eyebrows. During your micro blading procedure, a specialized micro-pen is used to create symmetrical strokes on the skin. These strokes are colored and shaped to closely match your eyebrow hair.

Micro Blading Procedure Overview:

The initial part of your microblading procedure involves drawing the desired shape of your eyebrows with a removable pencil liner, as well as finalizing the desired color. Next, your eyebrows will be carefully enhanced using a micro-pen, which delivers strokes onto your skin. A topical anesthetic is usually administered during your microstroking procedure to minimize any discomfort.

Is There Downtime?

There is no downtime necessary after undergoing microblading and you can resume your daily activities immediately. Your eyebrows will heal over the next 2-4 weeks. Patients are encouraged to avoid exposure to the sun, as well as certain creams, for the initial weeks following microblading. You will be given specific aftercare instructions following your microstroking treatment.

What Kind of Microblading Results Can I Expect?

Microblading can achieve natural-looking, pronounced eyebrows. Patients can typically see final results after 1 month. Microblading is designed to yield long-lasting results.

Dr. Asaadi and our staff welcome any questions you may have about microblading, as well as our permanent makeup procedures. Contact our New Jersey office at 973.731.7000, our New York office at 212-938-0158, or you may request an appointment online today!

Trim Unwanted Fat Pockets With VASER® LipoSelection!

POSTED ON WEDNESDAY, JUNE 07, 2017 AT 9:32 AM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

Are you bothered by diet or exercise-resistant fat? Oftentimes, traditional weight loss methods are not enough to fully eliminate love handles, bulging, or small pockets of stubborn fat. VASER® LipoSelection can carefully target problem areas, including the neck, arms, breasts, abdomen, back, and legs, to remove unwanted fat and enhance body contours. VASER® Lipo also promotes skin tightening to help add firmness to your physique. Asaadi Plastic Surgery provides VASER® LipoSelection as a minimally invasive alternative to traditional liposuction.

VASER® Lipo Overview

During VASER® Lipo treatment, a tiny cannula is placed below the skin. The cannula delivers ultrasound energy to excess fat cells, liquefying these fat cells with precision. Unwanted fat is then removed from the body. Additionally, heat from the VASER® device encourages collagen production beneath the skin, tightening skin and improving skin elasticity.

VASER® LipoSelection Target Areas

VASER® LipoSelection can target a variety of different treatment areas, such as the face, neck, breasts, arms, midsection, flanks, back, thighs, and legs. Patients can also choose to have multiple parts of the body treated during 1 VASER® Lipo procedure.

VASER® Lipo Vs. Traditional Liposuction

VASER® LipoSelection is minimally invasive and requires less downtime and recovery than traditional liposuction. Patients generally experience minimal bruising and swelling that should dissipate within a few weeks. Additionally, VASER® Lipo promotes significant skin tightening.

VASER® LipoSelection Results

VASER® LipoSelection can achieve long-lasting improvements to facial and body contours. Patients can expect a slimmer, firmer-looking appearance, as well as a reduction in bulging or love handles.

Dr. Asaadi and our staff welcome any questions you may have about VASER® LipoSelection, as well as our other body contouring procedures. Contact our New Jersey office at 973.731.7000, our New York office at 212-938-0158, or you may request an appointment online today!

Dr. Asaadi’s Approaches to Eyelid Surgery!

POSTED ON FRIDAY, MAY 12, 2017 AT 1:53 PM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

When performing blepharoplasty, Dr. Asaadi can treat both the upper and lower eyelids for a balanced result. Combining upper and lower eyelid surgery can achieve a more-youthful, refreshed appearance.

Blepharoplasty can treat a variety of conditions, including drooping upper lids, under-eye bags, malar mounds, and festoons.

A trained eye and rigorous attention-to-detail are required during eyelid surgery in order to achieve a natural-looking result.

Learn more about blepharoplasty below.

Upper Blepharoplasty

Upper eyelid surgery is designed to reduce sagging or drooping skin above the lids. During upper blepharoplasty, loose skin over the lid can be repositioned or removed.

Underlying muscle can also be tightened for a firmer-looking appearance.

Lower Blepharoplasty

Lower blepharoplasty can treat puffy or bulging below the eyelids. Dr. Asaadi addresses each layer of the lower eyelids differently when performing eyelid surgery.

Lax skin and muscle are selectively tightened and repositioned in order to achieve an optimal result. Small amounts of excess fat beneath the eyelids can also be removed, if necessary.

Malar Mounds & Festoons

Dr. Asaadi also treats malar mounds and festoons, which are addressed differently than traditional eyelid surgery. A “Botox® Test” can be utilized to determine the cause of your malar bags or festoons. During this test, a small amount of Botox® is injected into the muscle around the eye, known as the orbicularis oculi. If this injection leads to a temporary worsening of your symptoms, then this shows that muscle laxity is the root cause of your malar mounds or festoons. If so, Dr. Asaadi can address the underlying ligaments within the muscle to correct these conditions. If there is no change in your malar bags or festoons after undergoing a Botox® injection, then the cause is most likely underlying fat pockets. These can be removed surgically to treat your festoon or malar mound.

Dr. Asaadi and our staff welcome any questions you may have about eyelid surgery, as well as our other facial rejuvenation procedures. Contact our New Jersey office at 973.731.7000, our New York office at 212-938-0158, or you may request an appointment online today!

MAsterTuck To Firm The Midsection, Flanks, & Back!

POSTED ON FRIDAY, APRIL 07, 2017 AT 4:24 PM by Dr. Mokhtar Asaadi

MAsterTuck℠ is a specialized liposuction procedure pioneered by Dr. Asaadi himself to firm the midsection, flanks, and back. MAsterTuck℠ can remove stubborn fat and tighten lax skin to improve contours. Unlike traditional body contouring techniques, MAsterTuck℠ can firm hanging skin without having to surgically remove skin, making this procedure a minimally invasive alternative to body sculpting surgery. Learn more about MAsterTuck℠ below.

How Does MAsterTuck℠ Work?

MAsterTuck℠ is a truncal liposuction procedure that uses VASER® LipoSelection to remove unwanted fat deposits from the abdomen, flanks, and lower back. During this procedure, a cannula is introduced beneath the skin to gently remove fat cells from the body. Energy from the VASER® Lipo cannula also tightens skin around the treatment area(s) and encourages the production of new collagen fibers beneath the skin, leading to gradual improvements in skin structure and elasticity.

What Kind Of MAsterTuck℠ Results Can I Expect?

MAsterTuck℠ patients can expect long-lasting results. MAsterTuck℠ can contour the midsection, flanks, and back, reduce love handles, and tighten hanging skin in one minimally invasive procedure. Patients can expect to see full results in the months following MAsterTuck℠ treatment.

Who Are Ideal Candidates For MAsterTuck℠?

If you are experiencing mild-to-moderate sagging around the midsection, flanks, or back or are bothered by unwanted fat pockets around these areas, then MAsterTuck℠ may be right for you. MAsterTuck℠ candidates should be at a relatively healthy weight, as MAsterTuck℠ is not meant to be a weight loss procedure. Additionally, MAsterTuck℠ is not designed to tighten loose or stretched abdominal muscles, as this is reserved for tummy tuck surgery. Your plastic surgeon can discuss if MAsterTuck℠ is an ideal procedure for you.

Dr. Asaadi and our staff welcome any questions you may have about MAsterTuck℠, as well as our other body contouring procedures. Contact our New Jersey office at 973.731.7000, our New York office at 212-938-0158, or you may request an appointment online today!
